An umbrella company offers contractors a simple and hassle-free way to get paid for agency assignments. When a contractor joins an umbrella, they will sign an employment contract and the umbrella will effectively become their ‘employer’. This overarching employment contract allows the umbrella to act as the payment intermediary between the contractor and recruitment agency.Furthermore, the contractor will obtain employment rights that are equal to that of a permanent employee. Our first step begins with a conversation. We will talk you through the umbrella process and cover all the important information you need to know. We will also take some basic information about your contract to contact your agency and provide you with an accurate take home quote. We will also follow this up with an email outlining everything that was discussed.
We will send you our registration documents to complete digitally and contact your agency to confirm your contract details. We will also provide them with our umbrella information and agree terms. Once we have your registration and ID documents back we will send you our employment contract and a holiday pay request form.
Once you have signed your employment contract you will become an employee of DG Resources. We will send you a welcome email and client portal sign up information. Here you will be able to see your payslips, summaries and P45/60. You will be guided through the entire process with your account manager.
